Dear Friends,
You were amazing!
While the results of Tuesday’s election were not what we had hoped for, together we raised some very important issues for our city. We developed detailed policy plans to create jobs, improve our economy, protect our environment, strengthen our schools, and to bring real transparency and accountability to government.
Yesterday, I called Mayor Ed Lee to congratulate him and to let him know that I want to work with him to address these critical issues. I am looking forward to serving as your Senator for the next three years and continuing to fight for our schools, healthcare, and critical services.
I am so proud of our campaign. We had the most volunteers, the most enthusiastic supporters, and we were not afraid to take on the powerbrokers and address the tough issues our community is facing. We have much to celebrate, and lots of work ahead.
