Fighting Arnold’s billion dollar school cuts

As a Democratic leader in the State Assembly, Leland Yee helped lead the fight against Governor Schwarzenegger’s special election propositions that would have devastated California’s working families and cut billions from our already under-funded schools.

Yee joined with teachers, nurses and firefighters to fight Props 74, 75, 76 and 77, helping to raise money for the campaigns and build awareness of the propositions among non-English speaking Californians. The result was a complete loss for Arnold – and protection for funding for the teachers and educational programs necessary to keep California’s kids making progress.
